Why take care of your employees?

Because they take care of your customers.

In this months Inc. Magazine Ken Blanchard, author of The One Minute Entrepreneur says,

"There's so much competition today that no customer has to put up with abuse. As a leader, you absolutely must expend your energy engaging your front line employees so that they will take care of customers, who will tell stories about how great your company is to other people, who will become new customers."

This is precisely why anytime you call EatCU.com (1-800-689-6613) you'll speak to a person. No menu, no voice or touch tone prompts, just a friendly voice there to answer any question or need.

It's nice to see that some of our restaurants embrace this philosophy as well. Manolo's Pizza and Empanadas was the latest place to provide lunch for the hungry employees at Research Park in a series of lunches we have organized for the workers there with Fox Development Corp. Not only did one of the owners come out to personally interact with his customers, but the two employees he had with him exemplified the content, customer satisfying employee every business owner should strive for. The girls, Melissa and Adrienne, were happy to come in their day off to help make the unique opportunity a success and were efficient, knowledgeable about the product AND still charming enough to pull off a couple upsells. I asked Melissa how Anthony got her to come in on her day off.

"Well, serving pizza isn't exactly my dream job, but I love the people I work with, Anthony is a great boss, and they let me see shows at the Canopy Club. So, I was happy to help out."

Keeping their employees happy definitely landed Manolo's a few new customers last Friday, and I have to say, represented EatCU pretty nicely as well - not to take away from their delicious empanadas or anything......

Any questions? Call our customer service and share your story!
